Angels Wings Foundation exists to provide long term and measurable assistance to the underprivileged children
of Thailand. Its basic premise, set forth by benefactor, Porntip Bui Simon, states that every child is an angel and deserves wings to
fly to their potential. With a specific focus on providing education and assistance for needy children, Angels Wings is a small, mighty
and adaptable organization that is personally led and administrated by the former Miss Universe from Thailand. Angels Wings Foundation
works closely with Thai officials surveying specific populations to determine the necessary needs and its founder personally sees that
their goals are met. |
- June, 2010 - Angels Wings Founder Bui Simon Elected to Pepperdine University Regents.
- December, 2009 - Angels Wings Foundation doubled their contributions from the previous year.
- December, 2008 - the Bui Simon Thai Endowed Scholarship Fund was established to help Thai students who wish to come to the United States.
- October, 2007 & 2008 & 2009 - Angels Wings donated funds to support a Thai/American scholarship program.
- September 28, 2008 - During Bui's visit to Thailand,
she shares her vision of the Home Town Teachers scholarship program with the people of Thailand.
- September 7, 2008 - As the face of La Mer, Bui requests, that in place of her fee that a donation be made to Angels Wings Foundation to help underprivileged children programs.
- September 1, 2008 - Bui visits Thailand to begin new Home Town Teachers scholarship program and funds program.
- July 11, 2008 - While visiting the tsunami orphans at the Yoawavit School and learning that they have no transportation, Bui donates new school bus for orphans.
- July 7, 2008 - Bui visits and donates necessities to the Ban Rachavitee girls orphanage in Bangkok where tsunami orphans live.
- March 20, 2007 - Upon arriving in Thailand, Bui visits young girls at Ban Srisurat Shelter who survived child trafficking.
